Housekeeping Supervisor

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING   

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll supervise, train, and work alongside your team to ensure all hotel rooms and public areas are sparklingly clean and in tip-top condition, ensuring our high standards are maintained and delivered to company standards. In this role you’ll be organised, preparing for your day ahead, keeping on top of required supplies and amenities, always trying to minimise waste, and reporting when more items are required. You'll also support the housekeeping leadership team to ensure all requirements and targets are met in line with set timeframes and ensure the department runs smoothly in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager.

THE DUTIES

  • Support the running of the hotel by ensuring our guests have a memorable experience in a spotless and well-put-together room.
  • Support the Head/Deputy housekeeper with the rota schedule and allocation of duties.
  • Lead and inspire the housekeeping team by example, creating an environment that lets them be themselves and bring their best selves to work, encouraging their development and progression.
  • Maintain our high standards by taking a hands-on approach to training and supporting the team.
  • Check and maintain an adequate level of supplies and materials and request replenishment of supplies as required.
  • Work with Front Desk and Maintenance regarding the status of rooms and common areas ensuring that guest requirements are met according.
  • Assist the Head/Deputy Housekeeper in the daily checking of all guest rooms and designated staff areas.
  • Ensure guest-lost items are secured and policies followed.
  • Assist with team member orientation and training within the department.
  • Shifts cover 40 hours, over 5 days per week including the busy weekend periods.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR IN YOU

  • We are looking for someone who is already working in a supervisory role within Housekeeping, ideally from a hotel background (At least 1 year).
  • You will have passion for your work and understand the importance of both the guest journey and the team's experience.
  • You have a methodical approach to cleaning and are able to inspire others to achieve excellent standards and take pride in their work.
  • Have a good level of spoken and written English.
  • Be organised while working under pressure.
  • Ability to work shifts.
